47 | Phil Foden - 2023/24

I think most unbiased fans can see how talented Foden is, and will probably direct most of the blame at Southgate's incompetence, for his underperformance with England.
I also think the younger ones relate to him so much.

He is a bit of a scally and I say that in a good way, a local lad made good and guys of a similar generation can relate to him whoever they support.

That missed pass to Bowen sums up his England career, sadly.

He looks utterly devoid of confidence at times for whatever reason.

I hope he stays off social media these next few weeks.
It's like Phil forgets how incredible he is when he puts the England shirt on. He rarely misplaces simple passes like that for City, if at all.

Phil better be campaigning for Pep to extend, because that's clearly the system that he shines in.

Hd was poor and to nice with his licking up passing it first time to a team mate if you want to make it in the England team you have to be selfish

Thought he had a shocker tonight. He was bullied by the Serbs and gave the ball away far too often. He was however not the only one who had a poor game in an England shirt.

Watched him off the ball throughout tonight, the worrying thing in the first half is how often he was moving into positions where there was no chance he was going to receive the ball and it wasn’t pulling anyone out of position either.

It's like watching a different player for England. All he does is lay it off and recycle the ball, looks terrified to actually go and make a difference.

He can't have any complaints about being dropped after his last two performances.
