These comments dont make much sense.

Foden in 70 mins still made the most chances leading to shots.

Then when we subbed on other attackers for him and Savinho we were worse goinf forward.

It wasnt great, but when he was the best of a bad bunch, you dont blame him, you blame the coach for the setup.

The standards for him and the standards for the likes of a Kovacic or a 34 year old KDB aren't the same. He's supposed to be our best player or near enough that - being the best of a bad bunch and marginally more respectable than others isn't what we need from the player responsible to be our main creator.

If he doesn't score, his whole game is essentially tidy back passing and trying shots outside the area.

Blaming the best of a bad bunch is a fools errand.

Pep set us up to not create, we went wide, never overloaded any areas, didnt play quickly.

Thats not on Foden, thats on Pep.

There's a reason Pep went wide. Because Foden can't create. He doesn't generate football, of course I'll blame him because he's supposed to be a pillar of our rebuild. The bad bunch you mention won't be at the club in 2 years time, Foden will be and there should be genuine question marks as to whether he should be starting for us if he's this inconsistent and unreliable.

Pep making us play wide just because of Foden is such a ridiculous take.

Enjoy your day.

Think that’s more an indictment that everyone ahead of Nico was crap.

Too shy, too nice. Needs to be the villain. Seriously needs an ego, better player than Bellingham but Bellingham’s ego transpires to his performances. Go deep and demand the ball, drag the team up the pitch, don’t just stand there flapping your arms about.

Knew I’d come in to find these comments about him but I’m not buying it today. He created good chances for Haaland and Bernardo, did some nice linked play, was one of our brighter sparks (its all relative obviously it was a poor display all round). Clearly was pissed off when he was subbed and I think others deserved to be hooked before he did.

Needs to play off the right coming in. If there’s a right winger playing ahead of him then Pep needs to either drop Foden or find a way for him to start attacks off from the right to come inside.

He created our only good opportunities today.

What good opportunities? Zero big chances created the whole game. He has 2 assists to his name this season but he's the one player in this team that people make excuses for.
"one player in this team that people make excuses for." -

Thanks for the laugh.

And the pass to Bernardo that he skied and the one to Haaland which he wholly whiffed on...

Foden is the one player that has really suffered without Rodri
Don’t actually think he was that bad today - created two of our chances and was subbed at completely the wrong time
