52 | Oscar Bobb - 2023/24

He’s the reason we where comfortable with Palmer leaving.

I don’t think it will be the same as Foden/ Sancho where various people considered Sancho was the better player to begin with and made the right moves, to now Foden being the winner of the 2z

I think Palmer will do very well, but I expect Bobb to really blossom.

There will be more, but I have seen 3 moments of absolute quality from Oscar Bobb.

- The delayed pass to create space in setting up Foden (?) to set up a goal
- The footwork before the finish v Newcastle
- The touch against Brentford to open up the space.

He’s an absolute talent and given time, he’s got the potential to be a key player in the best team in the world.

I am delighted with that. He's been unlucky in the sense that he's taken every chance he's gotten this season, but the race is so tight that it's hard not to go with more experienced players. I'd still love for Pep to give him the next few games on the right. Bernardo is playing far better than his thread indicates, but I don't think a few games off for him would be even close to a 'liability'.
