52 | Oscar Bobb - 2025/26

Might sound crazy to us as shipping off Cancelo was initally and likely we'll never know the details, but it's not too difficult to surmise that something has obviously happened behind the scenes, and a call has been made.

Wish him the best and still remember his goal vs Newcastle fondly!
Not even close to the same. Cancelo was a cancer in the dressing room and a liability defensively.

I meant as in not doing enough in practice to lock down a spot (and we'll likely never know)

And I'm not sure if it's me boycotting Twitter or Berrada fucking off to the rags.. there haven't been much news around City from inside lately. Kinda like it that way though!

I thought he’d go onto great things after starting this season fit. It’s a shame for him. I’d sell both him and Savinho.

Savinho played 3253 minutes in his first proper adult season at Girona and got recognition for it.

In Bobb's entire time at City he has only played... 1722 minutes, little over half.

His age being about a year older than Savinho, he has just been unlucky in that he has barely played due to starting adult football a little late, tough competition, and injuries.

I personally think a top player is there but he needs a loan, or just somewhere he can play regularly, which is the most important right now.

I hear people saying he always played as a winger in the youth system. Not strictly true. His best season playing in the eds team which steamrollered everybody & won the title easily he played as a 10 with Carlos Borges occupying the left wing & Dire Mebude as the right winger. Kian Breckin was the 8 role. Can't remember who the centre forward was. Possibly Will Dickson. Can't remember who the 6 or holding midfielder was. Possibly Jacob Wright or Mahamadou Susoho.

That EDS team played some fantastic stuff but none of them have really established themselves as first teamers in the bigger leagues. Hopefully in a couple of years a few of them will have made the leap.

I think it's mental that 3-4 quiet games have led to his exit when we have watched Savinho throw in dozens of infuriating performances. He is creating over a chance per game, despite barely playing - whereas Savinho is creating 1 in every 3 games. Feels like he's more the victim of us turning down £70m for Savinho tbh than anything else.
