He damaged that years ago by being there. The manager will feel obiliged to play him every game and it'll ruin their chances. Similar to United last season.
I fancied them slightly for the last euros but they were poor

Yes - fake Ronaldo is going to demand to play all the time available in the World Cup to put himself in the shop window. They will probably get through the group stages but struggle in the knock-outs.
I have Portugal in the work sweepstake so hoping for good things.

The kid is not right. There is something wrong with him.

Not in a critical way. I genuinely think he is just a bit away with the fairies.

If you watched the tunnel footage from the Atleti match where everybody in the ground lost their mind for five minutes he just whistles as he walks past people brawling. Slings his T-shirt over his shoulder and happily makes his way back to his kit.
 
He's slightly improved with his basic defending.
He's still prone to mindblowing stupidity.
He's good for 8-10 games a season and no more.
He's basically the same player he's been for us since he joined.

What? Those last two lines are probably the worst opinions I have ever read;D he has been one of the very best full backs last 3 years
 
Cancelo has been wild recently, and has been lucky only to have received only one red.

Hopefully he will get a break now and again after the world cup.

As if it's anything it's mental fatigue.

Ok. Youre entitled to your opinion. When he's on it i love him but he was bad after he was robbed last year. He's not a patch on Walker on the right and that was clear early doors. He suffered the usual first season pep stuff and he was left on the bench for the UCL final so any suggestion hes been "one of the very best for 3 years" is demonstrably false.

When he's good he's very good, but any suggestion he's been good for more than half a season in the past two and half years is, imo, not true. Until it becomes true I stand by my statement.

Absolutely fucking gash for Portugal today. Hope he gets this shit form out of the way before he comes back
 
His form has tanked this season, I thought he may have the WC on his mind, not on last night's showing, he was gash, needs to sort himself out and quickly.
