Anyone else notice when Kevin scored all our other players were rushing over to Kevin celebrating but Omar didn’t ? Might be absolutely nothing in this but just noticed
 
I'll give it until March until he stops making those nice darts in behind when he gets precisely zero passes for them, just like haaland did.

Taking that one game in isolation, I wouldn't say he's played centre forward before.
 
Looked more dangerous when they were chasing the game , looks to be a player that needs space to attack as his first touch isn’t consistent

He will be really good against the better teams but not so good against the parked buses
 
Optimistic cause he getting into position that resulted in the missed chance. Better finish and he has a hattrick today. Also showing the directness and pace we've been lacking.
 
I think he will be fine, only seen highlights of him before the move but I'd imagine our slower build up is very different to what he is used to. Can see there is player in there, and he makes good runs but nobody wants to play the ball, rather play safe
 
Clearly he is a very talented player. Once he settles in he will be a star for us.

Besides the end product, his control/first touch in close spaces was really lacking. Movement is excellent like you said.
 
The team especially the midfielders needs to understand his movement and play earlier forward passes. Sadly when you have Gundo, Bernie and Kovacic in the team this rarely happens. Hopefully Rodri and Nico centrally will help this. It's all about preparing for next season for Omar and the other new guys.

I would like us to become a very dynamic fast paced side rather than the let's keep ball for 75% possession and create less team that we currently are. It worked for a few years but other teams (coaches) have adjusted and nullified our lack of movement.
 
He is often at the heart of our attacks and that's enough. We can judge him at the end of 2025/2026 season to see his numbers. This season, his numbers are impeccable. He is just adapting.

Showed a few nice touches and again, most importantly, was always positive when he had it.

His movement is fantastic too. Chances and goals will come eventually.
 
You can see that he wants space to run into and suits a more open game. They hacked him down a few times when he did start to run at them. He got better as the gamewent on. He started to play with his back to goal more instead of just running in behind.

His movement is good. He snatched at some chances though. He needs that 1st goal to settle him down.

He's better suited to playing off a ST.

Needs to learn the art of the deft finish.
 
Here's the thing.

While I am disappointed like others, I think on reflection I'm realizing he actually did get some good chances, that's promising. Sucks he didn't finish them, but there is evidence that in general he is good at that so we keep persisting.

He also had McAtee and mostly Gundogan as his attacking partners... Not as good as Haaland with KdB or Foden.

Ngl I thought he was gonna be a technical player, and chance creating no 10, like the dream signing Wirtz, but he’s not really that. He kinda reminds me of Andre Schurlle, which I hope he isn’t tbh. We already have Foden who doesn’t create much for Haaland either. The talent in Europe for creative players is really in all time low. He is young and has the tenacity, so he will improve ofc.
