The thing that I look out for in a slump is workrate. That's what gives me the most encouragement that they'll get over it soon enough and come out of it stronger.

Walker last season worked hard through his slump last year and he got through it. Aguero's had a few over the years but grafted through and came out on top. And Sterling's currently working hard for me. I think he's as committed as always and he'll come out of it all the better.

We must be watching a different player. His defensive contribution has been downright poor lately. He all but walked around at Molineux rather than put their defenders under pressure and he was little better at Oxford. He needs a rest and he needs pressure on his place in the team

In my opinion he is definitely not worth the KDB wage. He is just a winger who scores thru tap-ins. I don't See any 1vs1 he is winning. Everytime he has the Ball he just runs to the defender to lose the Ball. One of those players who made it thanks to Pep. Once Pep is gone i wouldn't be surprised if he regressed. You don't even see him in Big matches. Not nearly as talented as his injured counterpart on the left side.
Well thats a pile of poo

A year or so ago I'd agree with you - but this season at least... Sterling has upped his game big time. He more often than not scores when expected to - and his pace puts him in scoring positions very frequently. Too, Sterling is very good on the ball - beating multiple defenders on offense, and making the deft pass/cross quite often.

The only thing missing in Sterling's game atm - is a bit more consistency - just a tad more clinical when shooting on goal would make him take the next step.

And a slight improvement would be a better appreciation of strategy - 2-0 up against Wolves, down a man, is absolutely not the time to attempt a risky one-touch pass in midfield. Pep went crazy on the sidelines following this - rightly so.

He’s out of form and would probably benefit from a break. Not the only one either.

He’s not metamorphosed into a shit, lazy player.

Even below par, he’s scored a few.

He’ll be back.

Thankfully his 'out of form' has still resulted in goals and assists. That is the level he is on now. Look around the league and it is littered with wingers/strikers who can't buy a goal or assist.

Is there a site showing the top scorers in all competitions? Raz is on 20 goals and probably about level with Vardy.

I know its only half time and a bit unfair but he's been in some awful form. Anything he has tried over the last few months has not came off.

First half really sums up his overall game, really just clumsy and cannot hit clean shots.
