Absolutely useless first half, and wasn't even offering defensive cover when boggle eyed trent kept pushing forward but turned up second half, slowly grew in confidence when he realised trent is beyond shit defensively and can't stop him cutting inside even when everybody knows he's going to do it. The bit where he pushed it past him and ran was fantastic to see. He lost the ball but it was the fact he gained the confidence to do it and not just stand still before weakly passing it backwards, after that he was a different player and getting his goal at Anfield will do him a world of good. He needs to make the most of it now and put in a real performance next game, we need to be feeding him constantly and encoruaging him to go at players, we need a firing sterling.

Sterling left or right, seemingly doesn't matter.

If he plays poor its not because of position, its because he played poor.

He played great on the left today because of confidence and simply playing wide.

I thought 1st half he didn't support Zinny enough defensively, but his 2nd half energy was immense in that win.

The difference was night and day when he slows it down as opposed to going at his man.

He won the penalty and set up the opener the first two times he charged at TAA.

More of that and he'll be back to his very best

A very frustrating player, but despite his faults he has an impact on games and helps us win games. Had Arnold on toast today and made up for him that he scored.
