he knew he had the beating of the full back today and did well ,but needs to get his head up a bit and pass instead of going down blind alleys
Desperate scramble over symantics. You'd think i was on trail for derik chauvin crimes lmao.He started his second post with that, after a bunch of people challenged him on his first post which said Sterling was shit.
I’ll give you honest opinion when sterling was playing poor second half of last year I I always gave him the benefit of doubt because of what he had done for city and the amount of goals that he scored but this season I haven’t been able to defend him as he got worse game by game to the point were I am now questioning whether we should sell him . We might get rid and he goes elsewhere and rips it up but I do think we should cash in but maybe I’m wrong of maybe I’m right . I would imagine you probably don’t agree with what I have said but that’s my humble opinion.Nobody stops anybody posting what they want good or bad. Certain opinions should be challenged though. I wouldn’t accuse anybody of being a rag for not rating Sterling but I’d have my suspicions of their end game if all’s they do is slag him off non stop. Which a few posters on here are guilty of.
At his best today
It's certainly been hard to defend him over the last 6 months, even for somebody like me who always tries to err on the positive side when it comes to City players.I’ll give you honest opinion when sterling was playing poor second half of last year I I always gave him the benefit of doubt because of what he had done for city and the amount of goals that he scored but this season I haven’t been able to defend him as he got worse game by game to the point were I am now questioning whether we should sell him . Didn't he said he missed the first 35 so could only comment on the remainder of the game
I think you are making a mountain out of a molehill. He clearly said he could only comment on what he saw.Yeah he admitted himself that he missed the portion of the game in which Sterling was brightest. IMO you have absolutely no right to comment on a player's performance if you missed the first 35 and that's when the consensus is he was at his best. It would be like saying "Laporte was fucking incredible today, never lost his man- oh and I only caught the last fifteen minutes".
Or like saying "Agüero was useless vs QPR. I admit I missed the last few seconds but still".
What was pleasing to see was that he had a poor few early moments, but didn't let that affect him this time and went on to a much improved game. It's certainly been hard to defend him over the last 6 months, even for somebody like me who always tries to err on the positive side when it comes to City players.
If we sold him I wouldn't be gutted because I imagine his replacement would be at a very high level as well.
Personally I'd keep him. Today was a good day for him, which on the back of the Chelsea game was very important. I posted after the semi I thought it was one of the worst performances I'd seen from a professional footballer, he was horrific. Which is why I'm happy to credit him for today. Takes big balls to keep going when you're in an obvious slump. Fingers crossed he finishes the season strongly.
