If he was a youngster brought into the side for rotation you may use words like promising, will improve, will learn as he gets experience. Saying that’s his best seems to involve a memory deficit of his better days with the club.

Bloomin heck chill, I thought he was very good today, if he’d scored it would’ve been a complete performance

First 35 mins consensus? The general feeling of those around me was he was lucky to start. I remember the groans for bad passes, the 3 pointers over the bar, the stretch and not much of a balls out effort for the cross etc etc.

By consensus do you mean you?
 
Thought sterling was a lot better today than in previous games,hopefully a sign he’s getting back to the way he was,great bit of play near the spurs box and the lay back for gundogan was perfect shame gundogan shinned it which is totally unlike him ..

If people are saying Sterling played well today we really are scraping the barrel with him

Gave the ball away numerous time, ran down endless blind alleys, poor finishing

Pretty much a normal Sterling performance

What I will give him credit for is plenty of effort today

I mean, he wasn’t great, but he was much better, and more determined than of late which is encouraging.
 
Very, very lucky to get a second start at Wembley in a week.

At least this time, he did not lack effort. A step in the right direction, but he still has a few more to make yet.
