Bit of headache for Txiki, as Sterling had a mediocre season and many could have said he does not deserve the salary he is holding out for on contract renewals, after this Euros he is having it will be hard to negotiate his salary down.

If a top striker joins that is also a huge salary, Kane would require something close to KDB salary. (which is imo at least about 150K more per week than what we save on Aguero-s salary.)

Wonder how all this will play out. Do not think we will cash on Sterling this summer despite his City season, but only Real or PSG will be afford him later on if we tie him down on a new improved contract but even they would not pay huge fee and huge salary both.

To me we looked a bit hesitant if we would accept a good offer from a buyer this summer but also do not want to look like we are not ready to renew with him. All the previous info like Stering refuses to be interested in a swap deal for anyone...

If he played like this for City like in the Euros, no question, but that is not guaranteed and Pep certainly asks different things from him than Southgate, also looks much more confident here than at City in last 12 months.

This dilemma only exists on bluemoon.

The club is thinking one thing, let's get him back and signed for another 5 years on a bit more than he's on already.

They cut a few of his scuffed chances out on that too, but i dunno why. They don't make him look bad, just show how involved he was. One was the Schmeichel save where his movement made it, the other was where he ran past a couple of people.

I think they always try to cut these down to 2 minutes or 2.30 I'm sure there are some more runs, and the shot over the bar which he beat 2 players to set up.

Meh... as players fall out of form dissatisfaction pours on.

Sterling/Gundo/Rodri/Cancelo... and so on.

All of the above players are class - whether or not they'll continue to make it at City - a club striving for world best - remains to be seen. A poor season or two back-to-back and he - whoever he is - is likely gone.

It’s not hate to suggest there might be value in selling him (particularly now his stock is high after a fantastic tournament) but anyone who does faces a massive pile on from the usual suspects one in particular

There's still no guarantee Sterling comes back and is in good form next season. Certain players play better for their national teams than clubs.
But surely his confidence is bound to be sky high after this tournament, regardless of if he wins on Sunday and picks up the player of the tournemant (which he should)
