If people are saying Sterling played well today we really are scraping the barrel with him

Gave the ball away numerous time, ran down endless blind alleys, poor finishing

Pretty much a normal Sterling performance

What I will give him credit for is plenty of effort today
He played well 1st half and was taking responsibilty which was good to see.
In the 2nd half he kept at it and he was giving their RB fits with his pace.
Well played Raheem, keep it up lad!

I mean, he wasn’t great, but he was much better, and more determined than of late whi

Would say he played ok........he could have rolled Foden clean through after 3 mins

A lot better today but his decision making in pivotal moments more often than not are wrong.
Let's hope he has a good season end.

A lot lot better today...looked like he had some of his zip back.....but his decision making needs to be quicker ...its all about confidence with him and at present he just seems to have lost it a bit

A lot better doesn't mean anything and why:

1) Foden had to play False9 and wasn't as productive as he is from the wing
2) Had a lot of chances but made a lot of incorrect decisions
3) That cross from Debruyne -> definitely should have scored.. (another Lyon like error...)
4) On Wednesday starts from the bench 100%..

You wrongly and laughable claimed it was back to his best. As a new supporter I understand but believe me he has played much better many many times.
Sorry do you want me to rephrase it to “almost back to his best”. Running and beating players, more than he has this season, constantly a threat and made those out to in runs brilliantly. All that was missing was a goal. Yes there were some faults but Raheem played like a man with a point to prove. Do not accuse me of being a new fan and I can have my own opinions thank you.

Man is this guy strong mentally. He’s been (by his own high standards) absolutely awful for weeks now but he doesn’t shy away, always shows for it and trys to be positive. It was a much better display today than v Chelsea but his end product was still woefully lacking.
