737-8 max plane goes down (2018) - new not Max crash Indonesia

That was @ChicagoBlue although I have to say I agreed with him.

It's scary to imagine what was going on in the flight deck if one pilot was fighting to stop the other pilot killing everyone.
Least likely doesn’t mean never! One thing about aviation is “Never Say Never!” :-(

The problem with vertical entry is that it is hard to even create using the flight controls, due to air loads, unless the tail has been ripped off the airplane. Maybe that was the case?!

I’d love to hear a translation of what is on the CVR!

Went on our first Max last week.

I think the name “Max” must come from the fact that you have to set your seatbelt on the maximum setting. Seemed a bit less space than your average 737 or Airbus.

Of course this is minor compared to the safety concerns.

I’m always shocked at people filming what could be total devastation my cheeks would gliding quicker than the plane.

Interesting that the section that tore away is where the option of an extra door is. Alaska aircraft don’t have this door, so it suggests that the skin - or whatever they cover the door space with - isn’t strong enough.

I fly Alaska Airlines a lot, I’ve been on some pretty shoddy planes in the past.
