I`m not generally happy with the double pivot or the players we have who play in it. IMO a fit and younger Fern would do the job better and would not stifle our creative genius by slowing down our passing and taking too many touches.
That being said, I thought Gundogan played better today although he misplace quite a few easy passes as usual, he had better energy and helped the creative play further forward

He is now a better 6 than an 8 as he proved in the Treble winning season. He in my opinion isn’t the problem at the moment, the system is.His lack of defensive ability is a secondary concern for me, actually...... so you're wrong.

I agree that the system its self is one of the main problems, but I think the pace Gundogan plays at and the time it takes him to find a forward pass are down to him not the system IMHO.

Well, there are plenty much better qualified than you or I who beg to differ.
It must be so bad for the Gundo haters atm.
I think you`re missing the point. We all want Gundogan and Rodri to be the answer to our midfield problems.
We just realise they are part of the problem, not the solution.

I would strongly suspect they do.In my opinion he’s a lot better than Rodders In the defensive midfield position. Only my opinion other Blues might disagree with me .

Rodders isn`t fantastic in that role I agree.
