Calling him a passenger is an insult to the versatility he was bringing us before (that I mentioned in my post, he's now got settled time into a role, that's the improvement).

And contrary to what his ardent supporters regularly maintained, he's now doing better as a #8 than he ever has as a #6. That's some real form reversal right there, since it was almost consistently ruled that he was awful at #8.

If he was only scoring at his previous run rate, most would be saying he's playing well and he seems quicker. The career best goal return by a country mile has elevated him into the spotlight. I can't be arsed checking your past comments where you thought he could be our leading goal scorer. If you have, I can only apologise. His improvement is somewhat akin to Lance Armstrong's

No, i'm saying even his most ardent supporters didn't see this career besting goal scoring record. I'm also suggesting that it is his goal record at the moment that has firmly put him in the spotlight and enabled people such as yourself to crow. To suggest his goals are not a major factor in his plaudits is a pretty stupid call, nothing in his past would suggest he had it in him . Gundog is in a very rich , and for him an exceptional vein of form , long may it last.

At Dortmund Gundogan was an exceptional player, if not for the injury they probably would never have sold him but even at Dortmund Gundogan was a shite defensive midfielder he was even crap as a box to box, so kudos to Pep getting him fit and eventually playing him where he is best.
