Not sure what will happen to him this summer, or what my opinion is on him tbh. There's roughness, but he's never had a run of games to iron that out, and I think he beats his man pretty reliably.

We'll see. I think one more year to try and break in and if not 40 mil.

Thought he was very good again and should have started. Said the same after chelsea but his willingness to go down the outside is a major plus in his toolbox, something that grealish never does and phil doesn't do as nearly as much this season it but can provide so many assists if our wingers did, as he showed with the disallowed goal. He's performing, hopefully gets a start against brentford and continues to look part of the team.

He has had a frustrating season, but there is no denying his talent and he looked lively and caused Brighton some problems.

Would love to see him
get a good run of games on his favoured right side. He’s certainly a talent. Takes men on easily, when he does, he’s got the brain and talent to make things happen…

Thought he started shite then grew into it when he started being direct and attacking with pace. Unlucky not to get an assist.

Still in limbo personally on an opinion of him. Clearly talented but enough to challenge/rotate in this squad with McAtee waiting behind him? Needs a big season if he gets another chance.

Seems that a loan would genuinely be the best option for him next season.

He’s too talented to sell, but unlikely to get the minutes he needs playing for us.

It will be nice seeing Doyle & Mcatee on loan with Shiefield United next season

As well as Palmer & Gomez with Burnley.

Playing 90 minutes each week in the PL, is the best preparation for these youngsters.

Gomez just isn’t up to it
I think they will just get rid to La liga
Barca might even be able to afford him

There's a good player in there, he needs to play more games and be given a chance on the right. I really like his height and nimble feet, he can go inside or outside and has a powerful shot. He needs to keep it simple at times though.

Not sure about this obsession with sending our youngsters on loan, especially as Burnley and Sheff U will both struggle next season, and the first players to be sacrificed in that situation are always the young players (even this season, McAtee was rarely trusted to last the full 90 minutes)

Palmer's potential is huge, and whether it's as an old fashioned "John Robertson" left winger, or gradual replacement for Mahrez, there will be opportunities for him to grasp in the near future.

I do think Burnley would be a good move but in two minds whether we loan him out.

As much as playing is important he’s currently training day in day out with world class players and Pep…

Also I’d worry if we just shipped Palmer out and replaced his place with a Bibb/Borges but then had some injuries.

He’s been around the first team and played Prem football now. I’m hoping we develop him because he could be Mahrez long term replacement.

I'd love hime to stay-his recent performances won't have gone unnoticed.

Hopefully he gets a start against Brentford.

Cole Palmer is just after Foden for me so far on the potential scales from our academy even if he hasn't quite shown it yet, but some posters on here are very impatient as some creations defo take longer to perfect than others so a little more patience is needed here, Pep clearly has faith in him he was our 2nd best player going forward last night after Foden, Pep is showing faith for a reason but he's also purposely playing Cole out of position cos he sees much more than a right winger.

I think Pep is a massive fan of his potential and loves him but is also annoyed he's been allowed to waste in his eyes by staying on the right, which in Pep's mind is probably too much of a comfort zone for someone of Cole's potential abilities... I honestly reckon Pep looks at Palmer and thinks "I want you to feel as uncomfortable as possible" he wants him to be so versatile way more than you believe, and to be able to play comfortably/effectively play across the front line as in wide left false 9 or behind the striker possibly, maybe even the bridge between attack and midfield but with him being a natural RW don't people find it very odd he's hardly ever picked there?

Pep is choosing very purposely to play him out of position, when he could play others in the positions Cole gets selected for and he's doing it in an almost meticulous way, like a wily expert boxing coach who is teaching an orthodox boxer to become a southpaw so he can dominate even more in different ways. Could it be Pep has chosen to make sure Cole stays here with no loans just yet if ever, for the sole purpose that he only learns specifically from his positional instructions day to day in training? I think so and I've thought it for a good while, it was a big improvement in that first half against Azpilicueta nobody tears him up like Cole did and he also did well after coming on last night. Pep sees something none of us do and I think Cole is learning to play distinctly different roles to Pep's level of perfection, he has it in him to be what Pep calls a pausa too he's just taking longer than many expect because of how great he was in the youths but it takes time be patient.

If Pep didn't 100% believe in Palmer's ability or potential he wouldn't have come on and he certainly wouldn't have given him a full half hour the other weekend to try and impress, he wouldn't be starting any games either Pep is clearly very enthusiastic about Cole Palmer's potential and you should be too!!! Pep clearly wants to unlock something only he's seeing on the training pitch compared to us on bluemoon.
