Personally, I dont like Rico as the double pivot. Atleast not in the way Kova or Rodri does it.If we don't sign Nunes I think this would be great for Rico to stake a real claim this season. Rodri can't play as much as he did last season and if Phillips doesn't step up I think Rico and Kova can play as the double pivot in certain games to make sure Rodri gets the rest he needs.
It makes sense and I get why people are saying it because he played inverted fullback but I think the press from opposition, and his skillset/physicality isnt there to handle it like Bernie (another small player).
I like him more either as a wide fullback like Walker is doing or if he has to start in the double pivot then a CB pushes up to let him play in higher spots (more Gundogan and less Kova).

He comes across as a really level headed lad, no airs and graces about him. He's a credit to his family, and also those at the club who have been responsible for his training and schooling.

Going home the other week i noticed Ian McShane stood on the steps of San Carlos on King Street. Well impressed even though he is a rag. Not every day you a star that famous. Mrs clocks Rico with his mum going towards the car park opposite from Kendals. She shouts to him and he looked round - beaming smile and said hello back.
She hadn’t even noticed Ian McShane and was buzzing at seeing Rico all weekend.

Rico was one of the team who was buzzing like us fans after the champions league win . I was at Manchester Airport and when they returned it was great. But some of the players couldn't get out of the place fast enough. Kevin sped past us like we had shit on the bonnet of his motor.
