Pep also said he wanted to keep McAtee for his ability in tight spaces
Almost like he watched him in training and recognised the talent.

We haven't seen McAtee at all.Seven years of watching Bernardo play
We need better than both players
There is no way on gods green earth that he could be any worse than kev right now. Kev moves like hes in extreme discomfort and has the touch of a rapistI'm not having he's worse. Just not having it.
As someone who watched their games very frequently, in that team, McAtee was the metronome of that team for sure. Palmer had his moments as well. But the former was red hot for a few seasons before they either went on loan or left the club. Not at youth level he wasn’t. I’d argue Mcatee was more highly rated.
The only reason we can see Palmer is class is because he got game time to develop. Mcatee is the same in my opinion.
I don’t think you can really judge how good a young player will be, when they aren’t played at all.
If say Mcatee plays instead of Bernardo do you think we’d be so much worse off?
Then he's obviously seen even more now...Almost like he watched him in training and recognised the talent.

Let's be honest, he sees him every day in training, so it's pretty damning if Pep doesn't think he's worth any minutes given our current form.

Wouldn't harm to sub him on for the useless Norwegian up front might wake everyone up a bit ?I'm not having this.
We have one win in 13. So what is it, the likes of Bernardo and Doku are world beaters in training and just collapse on a game day?
Or does Pep specifically have an issue with the lad, and OReilly and Wright.
If he was so bad in training why does pep reward him with a bench spot, plenty of others he can give that too. Costs us more money to have him on the bench so why we bothering?
Blinkered post.McAtee couldn’t do a job for a side that got relegated but yeah Pep must be clueless for not playing him week in week out.
Yeah blame McAtee for the Feyenoord collapse when Gvardiol gifted them two goals to get them back into the game.Lets be honest with ourselves.. we've always complained about youth not getting minutes but Palmer got minutes.. maybe not as much as he wanted but he got minutes except down the stretch.
Phil, Rico and Jalen are getting minutes. Even Brahim Diaz and Ferran Torres got minutes. And Eric fucking Garcia got a shit ton of minutes.
Sergio Gomez was Pep's version of the Poznan after he got a red in that CL game.. got minutes but not unless we were 3-0 up.
And last time we were up 3-0 vs Feyenoord.. McAtee lost the ball and it ended up in our net.. we might need to be 5-0 up before he gets another chance.. but when's the last time City were 5-0 up??
Anyone remember??
I don't know if this is true or not, but if so, I can already see Pep saying how he didn't want him to leave. Actions speak louder than words, though.
