I think it's always been in doubt, and still is.....however, that 25mins today is the level he needs to be at, every time he's on the pitch, not just 'buying' himself some game time....hopefully, he'll keep it up!

Agree about today, but it's the first time he's shown anything to justify being "given a go" ....I'm surprised we kept him in the summer, if he plays in the cup (which is probably nailed on) he needs to replicate today, if he's anonymous....then there is the answer to why he sits on the bench.

Our squad needs depth and in time James McAtee can be a good player for us like.

Let’s not yet another talented young academy player leave to play for someone else. Especially a City supporter, who really WANTS to play for Manchester City.

Thats how Foden and Bobb have been given minutes early on as well.

The wings are relatively safe low risk minutes for youth.

David Silva also started on the wing, I think all attacking midfielders should start there, and then move in the middle over time.
