Exactly

He's the best in the business if the players around him actually get their heads up and get the ball to him, instead of arsing around on the ball and let defences set themselves.

It's actually incredible he scores as many as he already does when you consider we play a pretty slow build up game, which often allows at least 2 defenders to stick to him.

Get the ball to him quickly like we did yesterday and he'll smash records.

We complain teams play a flat back 9 against us, but a big part of that is because often we pass around so much that opposition defenders and midfield can get back into positions...and why wouldn't they?

It's nice to see we varied it up a bit, especially Savinho anyway. No fucking about, he put defenders on the back foot quickly and it gave the best striker in the room to work.

Yep, even when he's not scoring or seeming to be very involved his very presence is vital as teams can't hold a high line against us with Erling up top.

I think it's almost like City play too high of a line and give Haaland no room to run into space.

Then the only way to get the ball to him is looping passes to the back post.

We need more through balls from all of Kevin, Phil and Sav going forward and less run the byline and inshallah.

People exaggerate how bad his all round play is

He certainly has flaws and never going to be this silky smooth player but it's nowhere near as bad as people in the media make out. Just his biomechanics alone means he's never gonna be like a Foden.

In his first season, in the league he was one assist behind Ødegaard and everyone in the media was wanking over Ødegaard like he was the new De Bruyne or something.

He has some pretty nice assists to his name.
