Im willing to have a bet with anyone who believes Jesus will ever be number 1 striker with city. When Kun leaves (or before) we will buy another striker who will become out main striker with Jesus remaining as the number 2. He's a level down from Kun. As for sterling hes not been at it for a while now.

This "potential" at some stage needs to be realised. Nowhere near being a top striker and doubt he ever will be. Yes he scored yesterday,( could hardly miss) the rest of the performance was distinctly average.
Expect Kun to return to lead the line once up to speed.

Agree.

Scored, but missed 2 easier chances from a total of half a yard out.

Scores a HT or brace against a crap team, and suddenly his bang average performances are all forgotten.

That's because they're very few and far between. Finishing can improve but his performances in general are of a high quality.

I’d take that bet.

Half yard out or not, you have to look at the situation. One of them had Mahrez go through players and get out of a gap that Jesus didn’t expect. Then the pass comes and Jesus reacts instinctively and redirects it to goal but it doesn’t go in, difficult to blame Jesus there.

You guys talk nonsense. Everything is too simple, the level of analysis is shockingly poor. Missed an easy chance? Get rid he sucks. Not like all strikers miss chances every game you know.

People really have no clue how good Jesus is. I say this every week, but he was sublime in so many ways again tonight. He scored the third, sure, but that wasn't amongst the top ten really good things he did tonight. Whether it was picking Chilwell's pocket deep in Leicester's own half to create a chance, or terrorizing Leicester's backline by occupying both center halves (and freeing up space tons for everyone around him), Jesus was a constant menace with his pressing and his movement. What REALLY stood out to me though was his role in City's second. Yes, Sterling deserves loads of credit for committing Ricardo and drawing the foul, and yeah, we should talk about Mahrez's pass into space that set Sterling free, but it was Jesus' awareness to come deep, hold off the much larger Johnny Evans, fight off his foul, and play the ball into the feet of Mahrez that allowed this move to happen at all.

It's always so easy to focus on the end product, but in almost all instances, it's something that happened many, many touches before that created a chance. Today, that could be seen in the way City couldn't defend Leicester's first goal, but it can also be seen here. Gundogan plays one of his lovely little chips over Leicester's the midfield before Jesus pulls the pin that detonates the grenade that explodes a few seconds later.

It's been almost exactly three years since Jesus arrived from Pamerias as a 19 year old left winger, since then he's had to learn the role of center forward and performances like today - something that has long become commonplace for Jesus - are the result of all that hard work. He's really, really good.

Agree on everything said about GJ....but everyone knows this. Kun does all of this but is also a huge goal threat on his own ...this is what GJ lacks.....playing devils advocate however does Pwos way of playing need this...probably not...but what happens when Pep leaves. Kun has adapted his game....can GJ be good enough to do this if in the future he needs to....big question with jo obvious answer at the moment
