9 more wins from 11 games

I'd take 4 points from the rags & arsenal right now and a win against the saints
That leaves us to allow for one more slip up in our last 7 games.

Traditionally, we raise our game for big matches. The next four games are bigger than massive, for me, I see it like this:

Chelsea will win the league. I'm not being negative, I've just been around long enough and I fancy I know my football pretty well. They are, and have been, our direct title rivals. They have beaten us twice. If someone could find the last time a team won the league in that situation having lost both games, I'll buy you a pint

The next four games:

United: draw
Southampton: lose
Liverpool: win
Arsenal: win

Everton away, I fancy us for a point. That's 8 from 15. Chelsea will beat Liverpool.

I can certainly see us messing up against Southampton. That would be the Typical City thing to do...

In reality we can only drop 3 points. Any more and it's probably game over. So a very, very tough ask.

As a result I think we will finish 3rd. Especially as our counter attacking pace is currently non existent - the big big plus in the first half of the season. Also our strikers can't buy goals.

So you predict 1 point from 6 in our next 2 games? No chance.

This is the business end of the season and we won't drop "easy" points at this stage as we showed at Hull. (I am not saying any points are easy, but you know what I mean.) Both are games we should win, and I see us winning both of them.

Liverpool and Arsenal away however are an entirely different proposition. The teams we struggle against tend to be high tempo pressing teams that don't let you settle. Often such teams have little true quality, so we can sometimes get away with it. (e.g. Brendan Rogers' Swansea). But add a bit of quality to the in-your-face pressing team and we have Liverpool. Throw in a bit of intimidating atmosphere and you have one hell of task on your hands.

Personally I think we'll do well get 2 points from Arsenal and Liverpool. If we can just draw against Liverpool that could be huge. But then again if we do get only 2 points form those games, that's 4 dropped and we only have a 3 point buffer on Chelsea. Are Chelsea going to win every game from now on? They just might.

One game at a time please folks.

Any thinking beyond that is a recipe for disaster.

I think that we have to wn two of the Le Arse, Pool and Rags and draw the other

Ultimately the winner of this years prem will be decided by the head to head against the top 4 - Le Arse have done really really badly thats why they will finish 4

i have us down to win 8 and as a margin for error only getting 1 point from both games at the swamp and liverpool anything more than 1 point can be deducted from the 24 points from the 8 games creating another margin for error, this should win it on plus goals again
