99% of our fans are outside Manchester apparently

Revenue from match going fans is change down the back of the sofa compared to how much out of town / out of country fans are generating at the club.

I've said it for years... How far do you think a (say) £700 season ticket goes in the great scheme of things?

The club could let 50k fans in for free every match and they'd still be making enough money to pay multi million contracts to players, spend £40m+ on average players, and avoid failing FFP etc.

Modern day football is a joke.

It's disappointing is what it is, it's just disgraceful milking fans when on the face of it it doesn't look like they need the money.

FOC's at least have our memories of what football used to be like.

What's the issue here? It's simple math's. Let's say we have 100k mancunaian city fans, we'd need a global fanbase of 10m for that to be true. Admittedly I've pulled that 100k figure from my arse but you could double it or even triple it and it would still be comfortably true.

It's no different to any other global football team. Infact it would be impossible to be a club of our stature with the trophy cabinet we've got and the prolonged dominance we've displayed and have that statement not be true.

There's no apparently required in the thread title, it's undeniably true and there's no story here either. It's literally just saying we are a globally popular club

So, 8 Barcelona fans wearing Barcelona shirts in the City end at Liverpool, and now this.

What a fucking great PR department we have at City.
That's what it is isn't it?

It's a counter to the Barca fans bad publicity which is like a Razmus Birtles shot and missed the target.

Better sometimes to do nothing rather than make yourself look worse
