99% of our fans are outside Manchester apparently

I'm pretty sure the club's definition of a fan is different to the majority of our definition.

For example, I would say a fan is a 'fanatic'. Someone who watches pretty much all of the games, understands our history, could sing 10 different City songs...

The club probably says 'that random person in Mongolia liked one of our posts on X so they are a fan.'

The club seems to value 'virtual' support more than bums on seats.

It's the modern world, where 'influencers' and Johnny come lately 'celebrity' fans will be welcomed to matches like honoured guests, simply to attract more social media followers.

Meanwhile, Joe Soap of Gorton, who hasn't missed a City match in 30 years, suddenly can't get a ticket for an away match, or gets moved from their seat to accommodate hospitality or advertising boards.

Traditional fans don't matter to our owners. We haven't mattered for years.

Is football, yes...?
If Mr Soap has been going religiously for 30 years he knows lots of avenues for obtaining away tickets.

Revenue from match going fans is change down the back of the sofa compared to how much out of town / out of country fans are generating at the club.

Not when those attend their first game / first game in a while and spend a fortune in the club shop on tat.

It’s the regulars / semi regulars who don’t really add to the coffers.

No one has the data.

The vast majority is from broadcasting and sponsorship, so could be a fan of any or no teams or a business.

The matchday revenue includes people going to any match where City get a share of the gate, including foreign tours.

The shirt deal money is similar the the matchday revenue, how much is recouped from fans who never go? No one knows.

Like all the rest of these nonsense, justify your existence made up jobs nowadays, done by people with no affiliation to the club. She can fuck off. Some twat that never leaves his bedroom but likes a Facebook post of Pep holding a trophy is not a supporter of this, or any other football club. I detest this internet driven, social media bollocks that we seemingly have to endure these days. These pricks running sections of our club are hell bent on making YouTubers and football tourists front and centre at our games to get a few likes on the internet.

The club and the game is being taken away from people that want to watch a bastard football match and not a circus. Not just City, they’re all at it in every corner of the globe. The sooner the bubble bursts, and it will, the better.

I know I sound 100 years old but I’m really not arsed. What a fucking needless “communication” from the club.

Games becomes too sterile pal. What do any of us go for? Have a laugh/drink with your mates, dig out the opposition fans or a player with a witty song or three, cheers on the blues. It’s not for the game, I can watch that on TV in the warm. Out of the 3 main reasons I go, only really one still keeps me going, the atmosphere isn’t owt like it was, and you can’t insult folk like you used to for fear of upsetting some **** or other.

I was ready to chuck it all in with VAR but it’s been ok of late.

Surely they must or at least be able to make a decent educated guess? If I buy a beer they want my ST for the discount. I’ve not been in the club shop for years but we get a discount don’t we? . Anyone buying at club shop is at game. If they post it out they can surely link it to anyone with a membership and see what games they go to. I appreciate it might not be 100% accurate.

All I know is I don’t see any of the regulars round me with store bags, ever. Some do buy the shirts etc but I’m a proverbial “no good in no colours” and about half are the same give or take around me.

If I go to Sports Direct they have no idea either, and it may be cheaper there. They could have a guess but I expect it is not a big concern to know if people buying shirts from other retailers have been to a game recently.

I think the person that employed Nuria Tarre should be sacked.
I mean she can't help being stupid but the Clown that employed her has a lot to answer for.

The trouble with City is that there are too many things wrong to be able to enjoy the team :)

Massive pile on coming in 3, 2, 1......................
