A big thank you to Garry Cook

Gary Cook is a Tw@t and is out of his depth at city, he aint no football man,

the way he went about sacking hughes was a joke.

Cook "The first time i spoke to roberto was only last wednesday"

Mancini " yes i spoke to Garry a few weeks ago to discuss this opportunity"

Cook (red faced) "er well ummm" next

If you're going to thank him, at least spell his name right :-)

Id rather someone thanked me and spelt my name wrong than spell it right and slag me off.

Why are you moaning? Best thing thats happened to the club Mancini coming in.

Fair play, you dont like Cook but at least get your facts right for not liking him

Id rather have a decent chap who loves the club and unfortunately makes the occasional gaff than a slick slime ball. I've seen both types at board level and know who I would trust.

So how come he's not got the stadium being bought by us on the agenda.

This is a very complex issue because it was funded by lottery cash and I can't be @rsed to go into it in the detail needed to explain it properly now (3 hours ahead of UK where I am). Suffice it to say for now that this will most probably be dealt with at an appropriate time.

Yes he is what City needs. One who can see the Forest for the Trees.
For too long we have 'mired in mediocrity & dross, same old same old typical city'. He is a refreshing change. We can say Manchester City is now 'baciato dalla grazia" – graced by good fortune.

I like Cook, compared to some of the guys who have been running the club in the past, Cook is a genius!

I think he is so passionate about the club, that sometimes it gets the better of him, but personally, I prefer a guy, that cares about the club to some empty suit

Bluemanc if you read the las vegas thread Dyed gave a perfectly sound explanation of why we cannot (at the moment)buy the stadium. That is not to say we will not in the future but at this moment in time it is not a top priority

I know the thread is over one hundred pages long but search Dyed's posts its all there

I sent an email to city F.A.O Garry Cook on the 2nd of Sep 2008 when we had just been taken over. 2 days later got a response:

"Thanks for the kind words and vocal support. We are working hard to make sure we maintain a healthy balance of history and heritage with building for the future.
Come on city
Garry"

I know Garry has made some big gaffes but I believe that he is a genuine fella and really intent on driving the club forward.

In a few years time when this is all up and running it will be Sir Gary or Lord Cook.

Some people best watch their P's and Q's.

Ketamine ??????
Money uncomplicates things though.

TBH - Things are great - I think we all know Cook has a great business mind!

I'm sure he will have learnt from previous mistakes - gotta remember he would never have had teh media scupulation that he is currently under with City

obviously I'm no insider but I'm sure Garry Cook is a very astute businessman, but PR is a serious weakness of his
