It´s kind of funny that no media is doing an in depth story about Khaldoon..I think many got the impression that he´s just a sort of errand boy for the Sheikhs, with an executive look though...
In many ways he´s a very respected and powerful man and I regard him as the right hand of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, Crown prince of Abu Dhabi and the main mover and shaker there.
Few have noticed that "our" Al-Nahyan Sheikhs have blood ties to the Mubarak clan who are fiercely loyal to them, thru the "First Lady" of Abu Dhabi, the widow of the late Emir.
Khaldoon himself is the CEO of MUBADALA who is the vehicle used by the crown prince for strategic investments on behalf of Abu Dhabi, apart from that he´s also on a number of important posts like the Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority in Abu Dhabi.
