A Free Bar.

Was at a funeral for an old friend yesterday.
Was at The Mar Hall Hotel,Erskine,where all your stars stay when up here.
Very posh,high class.
After nursing a bottle of Peroni for nearly an hour,(didn't want to be the 1 who shouts,let's get a round in) we we're told its a free bar.
"Flies round shite"
I enjoyed it,my 1st free bar in about 15 years.


Looked for the Xmas do thread,but couldn't find it,sorry.

Yep, a friend of ours recently rented an Irish pub, live band, free food, free bar the whole nine yards for his wifes 50th last month.
I drank about 10 pints of Guiness and had some of the best food I've ever had.

I was sitting at a table of 14....13 reds and me...yeeeees.
Me and my pals boy,who's 44,known him since he was 3 ,and not seen him since then,got drinking together.
I said I'll buy ye a drink....the free bar was shut...£13 for 2 glasses of red wine. :(

Yeah, go to these places and you need a fat wedge to keep the drinks flowing without counting pennies.

Thought I was going to be about £100 honestly.
The guy who's wife had passed away is loaded anyway.
Known him more than the deceased tbh.
Still,nice touch from him.
Even if the table never appreciated the City crest on my phone,or my City socks :)
