A funny little story to calm your derby nerves

Last night my wife told me a story, that my eldest had told her after school. Here goes.

My eldest daughter started high school this week, and yesterday her friend told her that during a lesson, her teacher was asked about the derby, and he said that he wanted city to win, because he supported us.

The talk went on for a bit, and he told the class that he advised his son, to never support united, because they were all shop lifters. So a few weeks later teacher, wife and son were out shopping, and were in a particular shop, when his son spotted a bloke in a united shirt, to which son turned to dad and pointed and shouted "dad dad there's a shop lifter!". He said all hell broke loose and staff and security surrounded this man in the united shirt, ready to arrest him but the teachers seething wife made him, go and explain what had happened. He said all ended ok and the united fan said, he thought it was funny too.

Faced with that decision I am not sure you can be choosy about the source of the turd-dom - any sort of turd would surely be preferable?

Think he may have misheard ..... teacher probably said shirtlifters.
