Having just seen young Liam on the O/S and having read the related thread on here, coupled with the young man who was so well recived at the open day, it is blatently clear that there are many employee's of our club that read on here, and on that basis my message below is directed at you.
I can honestly say I have loved this club a long time through thin and thinner, but the level's of interaction with the fans and the community are truly astounding in their accuracy and sincerity. It would have been very easy for foreign owners to come in and do nothing more than develop the team, and without doubt we as fans would have been happy with that. However the Sheikh has come in and made statements we have all heard before about "for the fans" and "Building a club for the community", the difference is that the team he has appointed has followed through on these promises on a regular basis. We now have some of the best players in Europe, we have one of, if not the best sets of Kits in Europe, we have a website that rivals any sporting site in my eyes, we've had fun days, concerts, prestigious freindlies and cheap European nights. The commitment to the fans has been excellent and the willingness to encourage the kids, our fans of the future, has been A1.
With so much negativity thrown around by the press, which in itself is ridiculous, I for one wish some of these hacks would make a little effort and take a look at what is really developing at Manchester City, a fantastic club being run by people who want to reward its supporters at every level they can, from the old to the young.
I will always support this club, as it's my club, but I seldom have had cause, or even the inclination to come out and say it properly, well now is the time, irrespective of results, team gelling or whatever the next chapter throws up............
THANK YOU ALL AT MANCHESTER CITY AND OUR OVERSEEING OWNER IN ABU DHABI.
Now get yourself down to the ground Sheikh, your overdue a Hero's welcome ;o)
