Martin Samuel appreciation

Great follow up article about the hateful 8, he's coming out with so much credit here. He knows his stuff and isn't afraid to spell out what other refuse to see.
Oh they all see it okay okay
wowzer, what a stunning article from a brilliant journalist. Some lovely comments in there:

"The irony of Mourinho, who benefited hugely from owner investment during his first spell at Chelsea under Roman Abramovich, advocating financial regulation now he is with frugal Tottenham is almost too ripe for comment.

Chelsea did everything that Manchester City have subsequently, and then worked to change the rules from the inside so that their path to the top could not be travelled again."

"As for making competition difficult, Klopp went on to espouse the German vision of club ownership, a system so competitive it has resulted in Bayern Munich winning the Bundesliga title for the last eight seasons — when no club in the history of German football stretching back to 1903 had previously won more than three on the spin. "

Would love to hear Bingo's and Maureens thoughts after reading that.

What can they say.
Klopp spouted and then claimed he didnt know enough about it. With the greatest respect dont say anything then lol
Meanwhile Jose cant say he hasn't benefitted from exactly the same investment.

Samuel's is a very clever journalist. He knows exactly what he is writing and what affect it will have on various parties.

Another great article by Martin, I wonder why Wolves have now deserted the hateful eight.

The whole things barmy.
Good luck to Wolves or anyone else looking at breaking into the elite. All the better.
We cant say anything else really.
Wolves know they ain't far away from breaking in and havent done it without investment.

Remember they nearly went bust a few years ago.
Nobody wants to see that although there are a few clubs at the minute that I wish bad fortune lol

Love the article.
Who other than City fans get this though.
Who other than City fans read it.
The average young fella nowadays doesn’t read the news let alone sports news.
They live off social media sound bites.

Finding a way of getting this message out in sound bite social media form and to the fan bases of the other two thirds of the league outside the top six. There’s the key.

Don’t think you can look to the rest of Europe because the competition is worse everywhere else. Start with the PL and find a way to get the majority of teams seeing what is best for their own futures.

It's another brilliant article and shows the dangerous plans of the traditional elite. They want their place cemented for the rest of time and it's about time people stopped towing the party line.

That is brilliant writing. Wolves are realising they were wrong. Burnley and Leicester are full of rags and dippers.
