A new TV

Looking for a new tv, around 40 or 42 inch any good recommendations?

Don't get a Phillips, the screens don't show green that well, my old one lasted 3 weeks before i chucked the fucker. It has a kind of redish type artifacting on green images, and since i only watch football really that was a real pisser.

LG are good mate they make the actual screens for a number of companies as well as themselves.

Don't get a Samsung or at least don't get it from Comet.

After 35 days mine developed two vertical white lines. Comet wouldn't take it back cos it was more than 30 days old (I'd only been using it for a week)
Waited in all day for an engineer that didn't show despite ringing them 4 times, they forgot to tell me that they'd been notified that morning that the engineer wouldn't be coming.

Waited in a second day for an engineer who spent two minutes looking at it and telling me I need a new screen which will take a week to order.

Two weeks later and he's coming on Friday (A third day of staying in and of course, they can't give me a time)

My letter of complaint to Comet after I answered three requests for information got a one line reply saying "sorry we messed up" That's it. Not even a £10 gift voucher after three days off work!

As I say, don't touch Comet with a barge pole
