Who do you think....?
Two years ago our highest paid players were on around 30k per week, and that was all we could afford. Most teams beneath the "top four" were in a similar position, if not worse. At the time Rio Camelface negotiated himself a deal at the rags for 120k per week. As a result of contract clauses, two or three other rags matched up to a similar figure.

Everybody at the time was saying Camelface was not worth 4 times what Dunne was being paid, but nobody really complained, because that was the way it was. End of.

Now, two years later, our circumstances have changed for the better, and now WE are in a position to pay a player 4 times what the top paid rag player is on, and now they cant afford to match it!

Whats the problem? Why is Sky Sports, Talk Shite, Five Live etc all slagging us off? All that has happened is there has been a change of power from the previous. Its a well known fact that nature abhors a vacuum and all things change, they must. it is a basic law of nature.

Assuming Ricardo Kaka signs, and other such quality players follow (David Villa perhaps), the premiership can boast THE best players in world on a weekly basis. The only "problem" is they won't play for Rags/Chelski/Arse or Dippers.

Get used to it i say, its now the turn of Manchester City FC to dominate.

Why are they so surprised? They were told this would happen way back in August. What, did it just slip their mindless minds?
