Surprised there isn't a thread about the great man.
Happy retirement Tonybhoy.
Greatest jockey in my lifetime.
Witchita Lineman was Yer best ever mate.
Cheltenham 2009.
Class.

I was there for that, and was on him, much to the advancement of that day and ride ;-)

They'll probably not be another AP in our lifetime, a great for sure.

On course for a 20th title which is an amazing achievement. Everyone who's ever met him all say what a genuine, humble bloke he is.

Every time I bet on his ride it lost!

In that respect, Kieren Fallon won me tons, Kris Kin in particular in the 2003 derby, wow, had almost binned my slip when he did this:

great race

But all respect to Tony, top jockey and don't want to derail thread, the game has a void now.

Always comes across in interviews as being a great guy. Very brave, all the injuries he had and he just kept getting back on a horse

Everyone has a Jockey like that, mine was Murtagh after he managed to fall out of the saddle when clear on the home straight in a flat, costing me most of 5k.

Anyway, good riddance to McCoy, legend of a jockey and all that, but never could get a decent price on a horse if he was on it :)

Murtagh always did me alright.

As an Irishman mate I'm interested in your answer, if you needed one to ride for your life over the sticks, would you have Ruby or AP? I always thought that AP was respected but Ruby loved and thought more of.

All riders are up there for dedication, fitness and sheer bravery.

A.P is without a doubt the greatest there has been.
