if the owners are going to sack Hughes would it be better to do it now and let the new man have a good look at the current squad in training and in games so when the transfer window opens he knows exactly who he needs to buy and who he wants to ship out? This question is presuming the owners are going to replace him so wether you are pro or anti Hughes you can answer it. In my opinion if hamburg knock us out he is a dead man walking so we may as well give the new guy the rest of the season nothing to lose.

If we go out to Hamburg I would say he should go.
And that's based on his overall impact on the club since he took over, which to me has not been enough given the resources, players signed and the ones he inherited.

a whole preseason, plus the time until the window shuts would be enough for anyone surely

it's not like they dont have access to the tapes of the matches, and any good manager can research the character and reputation of the players
