That is pretty much how I imagine TMQ anyway.

Don't 'imagine' me.

I'm doing it right now. And have set myself an alarm to do it every hour for the next 4 days.

"Stare at the four black dots in the center of the image for 30 - 60 seconds.
Then quickly close your eyes and look at something bright (like a lamp or a window
with sunlight coming through it). You should see a white circle with an image inside it."

you have to respect religion though if not just for it's longevity

You don't 'have' to respect anything, other than those things you choose to respect.
It's called free will.
And you certainly wouldn't claim that a religion such as Christianity, which has been around for a mere 2,000 years out of the 250,000 that man has been around is anything other than a Johnny-Come-Lately to the ecumenical party.

The real Ancient knowledge has near enough been eradicated with only a tiny tiny few Shamons that hold the said knowledge still alive today, Credo being one of them. Christianity is a mere fledgling at 2000 years old compared to the 'real' knowledge.

I think we established some time ago that the Old Testament was something of a theological pick 'n' mix for our god bothering friends.
They shun the nasty and cherry pick the nice.
Although the whole thing is supposed to be the word of god,so it seems a bit presumptuous to ignore entire chunks at will, but hey ho.
It's a bit like bluemoon ignore the pissed up bits, I hear he liked a drink
