If we Kaka, and then if villa follows then we have 3 of the best players in the world without a shadow. I know it is a squad game as well but our first 11 would look something like

Hart
Zab Dunne Richards Bridge
SWP Kompany Ireland Rob
Kaka
Villa

Agree? Well on a goal kick Hart will be kicking up the pitch to Ireland SWP Villa Kaka and Rob who are never gonna win headers. Teams could just stick a man on big Komp. If we play out from the back teams will just squeeze us in and Dunne and Ricards arent good enough to play it round teams - granted we might have better coming in but still the idea still would have to be playing from the back which allows teams to press.

But if we sign RSC that means one of the above misses out (we havent got RSC or Villa I know) and if we get Bellamy that wont help any either.

At corners as well - we need more than just Dunne Richards and Kompany of any decent height and heading ability
 
But then all they have to do is stick another man on RSC..

Back to square one...

I suppose i'll worry if it all comes off really. Just starting to think we are quite a small team anyway.

I am not saying I dont want Kaka and Villa coz I deffo do - anyone with a footballing brain would.
 
I know what you're saying John, most people here think we'll instantly transform with Kaka in the team, blinded by the transfer

Nice to hear some sense mate. I too hope we sign all these players but I wouldn't want to be in a position where they all have to play in every game every week. Sometimes we'd need a different system etc or we'll get beat in this league. It's a pity but it's a fact. We need a target man & a strong CB more than we need Kaka. Hughes knows that I'm sure, but if we can't sign them, then even if we do get Kaka we'll still be shite defensively, leak from corners & struggle away from home.

Hopefully our attack will get us up the league.

Hopefully is the word though!

i suppose so mate, im just caught up in the drama! im sure that once the dust has settled hughes is planning his signings, with or without kaka

In his press conference he said something like "we have made some offers, some have been rejected and some havent" hopefully that means someone is coming soon
 
If we sign Kaka the whole attitude of the team should change for the better.

I feel sorry for Ireland because he will have to make way to keep the side balanced, and his role will be restricted to UEFA Cup games and when Kaka is injured.

Ireland will not make way for kaka. Elano/Vassell or whoever else will be out of the team before Ireland.

Ireland is more than capable of playing the role elano has this season. He is far better than elano at tackling anyway

I also think if we sign a more defensive minded midfielder then kompany will be put in defence, so there we will have a decent footballing defender who wont hoof it up at any opportunity they have
