A younger version of Steven Gerrard

Connor Wickham, Kids going to be a star.

Not sure how he's a younger version of Gerrard though? He's like a talented version of Crouch with speed, technique, the ability to use his feet.

Leaning towards the Milner responses here too. I just finished watching Milner do a sweet chip to Silva against Everton (argh!), the one where Vieira volleyed it over the bar from Silvas cutback in the first few minutes. It was a quality dink with great vision and I would suggest, just one side of his game.

I do think there is a good chance Vieira stays one more season. Next summer I can see Barry moving on, and give Milner those roles. Barry wont leave until he gets some CL football, thats why he moved here, but I could see his role diminished with Milner and our new creative midfielder, playing more often.

Is that why he is having a hard time breaking into the U21s? :P

No, that is because he's being brought up one step at a time but will be a U21 regular soon with Carroll graduating. He was part of our U17 team that won the U17 Euros over Spain last year (and scored), now he's in the U19 team and soon he'll be in the U21 team regularly, as opposed to the few appearances he's had now. He only turned 18 a couple of months ago and is a fantastic talent.

So you are saying that is not why he is struggling to get a game :) Gotcha!!
