I was surprised to read how much cash we made by selling Lopes, which got me thinking of the other youngsters we've sold recently and if you tot it up it's quite a sizeable chunk:

Lopes - 9m
Trippier - 1m
Suarez - 7m
Rekik - 3.5m
Boyata - 1.5m
Huws - 3m

Then if you consider how much cash we would get for Deneyer, Barker, Garcia, Humpreys etc if they didn't make it to the first team, you can see a steady stream of sizeable income.

Then we have Natcho who's in the first team and saved us 30-40m... Just makes me sit back and have a WTF moment at how ickle City's academy management is on another level to anyone else in the prem (bar Southampton) and are prob on the same level now as the two Spanish Giants.

Christ I remember being grateful when Chris Greenacre, Whitley's, Danny Alsop and Mason came through the ranks!!!

Yeah apparently we have one of the best 11-13 groups in Europe, all these lads are going to go to private school at the eds and grow up together.

Our academy is the dogs bollocks, we're really lucky as fans to have this level of support.
