Actor with the greatest range

He's not the #1 here, but Brad Pitt has always had excellent versatility.

Also as I don't reckon we're getting an actress thread, I thought I'd add Meryl Streep is pretty fantastic in anything she's in; she deserves the credit.

Yes, Jack a great call. Has he ever been an action hero? I suppose his lead in Chinatown came close, but he never had the physical presence for an action hero i guess. I’d still have him
on shortlist though, for sure.

Bale is a criminally underrated actor and considering DDL has practically retired, I reckon he could be the best actor in the world at the moment.

Yes, DDL is an enigma isn’t he? Although I’m guessing he quite likes it that way.
With Bale, I’ll have to be honest, i don’t know all his films that well. With him, I keep recalling those stories about what an arse he could be on the set, but that’s no measure or talent I suppose.

I’d say Paddy Consadine has shown his talent across a range of roles too.
