Adam Johnson and MOTD

I was just watching a taping of the last few MOTDs 1 and 2 with Lawro, Keown etc. giving great praise to City's strike force. Over the last few games they commented on Tevez, Ade and Bellamy and their great attacking play at least four or five times and there was not a single mention of Adam Johnson in any of their discussions. I bet Johnson must be wondering what he has to do to get a mention.

I'd imagine he isn't too worried. He's impressing the manager, and that's the important issue. Pleasing the three stooges (Hansen, Shearer and the twat from Preston) is not the be-all and end-all.

generally I am long past caring what the meejah say or don't say, but this gets right on my nerves. he is so incredibly important to our attacking play. mcleish and the other managers know it and refer to our front four, but the talking heads always call it a front three.

i realised that yesterday mate, and after the burnley game on motd, alhtough they did go into detail on it after the burnley game on espn. it really is those 4 though.

johnson....................................bellers

tevez......adebayor

That's true.....and I wonder if Capello is now thinking about including Johnson in his next squad.....we shall see.

Well if it ever came down to a choice between Adam and Stuart Downey, it would have to be Adam all the way.

I noticed that, and on MOTD the other week they mentioned ade, tevez and bellers, one of them said ''bellamy on the right''

well they've got that wrong.

what is it now...can't give us credit for buying a young lad for 6mill and giving a mention to some young british talent?, do they only like to talk about our players who cost 20+million when they have a bad game, just to make them look bad?

if Johnson played for the scum and ripped through Burnley and Birmingham like he did, they would be licking his arse all night and how he would be the greatest winger in the league at the moment,

give a fuck what they say, we all know he's quality, he's gonna be a star, soon they won't be able to ignore him, keep going jonno.

He seems to get mentioned in passing and I've heard some compliements for him but I haven't heard any of the media discuss his form in the depth it deserves. The brilliant way he has stepped up since coming from Boro has shirley surprised even the most optimistic of us. But King Carlos, Ade and Tevez have been so awesome lately that Adam's achievements have been virtually overlooked. He's been superb, if you ask me. It's amazing how many players we have that look so comfortable on the ball.

You have to wear a red shirt and speak NorwegianScouse to impress Hansen!

Let the lad carry on doing what he's doing. Evra will tip him up in the area on Sat and Stevie B will do the honours. Red for Evra and another goal for Gatito.

I heard a Villa fan on the radio the other day saying that having watched Johnson in the last few games he is a real winger who is better than Young and should definatly be going to South Africa

He's been here less than 3 months and played just 10 leauge games but already has 6 assists to his name in those 10 games which is the same amount Steven Gerrard and Dimitar Berbatov have got all season

I watched some programme on ESPN last night, "between the lines" i think it was called, where they go through all the weekends games and discuss them with "pundits" and journalists etc. David Pleat of all people was on it, and he was absolutely lauding Adam Johnson, saying what a great signing he was. He was really singing his praises. So there are some people out there that have noticed him!
