Probably because his son scored his first goal of the season.

He's a Newcastle fan.
Not what he told me.
Well he told the nation in an interview..

"I was at Newcastle when I was a kid before I went to Middlesbrough, so I grew up supporting Newcastle and David Ginola and players like that."

As I say, not what he or his mate said when I spent am evening with them paddies day in Fibbers in didsbury just a few months after the Sunderland game. His mate was also a mackem. If he is a toon fan I stand corrected but as I say he definitely said that story about his family.

-- Fri Aug 24, 2012 10:02 pm --

Don't tell the Sunderland fans then.
Aj? Is he fuck. He and his family are Sunderland fans. When he scored that equaliser his dad got started on for clapping in the home end as the home fans weren't thrilled with it.
He's a Newcastle fan mate.
mackem

Re: Adam Johnson

Im gutted AJ has left I think he is vastly underrated for me he is better than any other English winger and I think he can get better. Sinclair is not in his class. I know who I would rather mark if I were a fullback. We dont have a massive squad and letting AJ go without having an upgrade seems daft to me. We need a marque signing now to improve us not a guy who couldnt cut it at chelsea and has never played in a genuinely big game in his life.

Neither had Johnson before we signed him. He couldn't even get a place ahead of downing.

-- Fri Aug 24, 2012 10:06 pm --

That was after Newcastle beat United 3-0

Re: Adam Johnson

I know his family are Sunderland fans but I've only ever heard he's a Newcastle fan. Are you sure he wasn't pissed when you spoke with him?

Re: Adam Johnson

Thank God, don't have to have nightmares about him starting a game for us anymore (still have cold sweats thinking about Arsenal away).

Good luck back in your home town, hopefully suits him more.

Now get Sinclair signed, his pace is just what we need.

I seem to remember him having an excellent year before he signed for us. Plus he had never failed at a big club previously. The only thing is if I were AJ id rather sit on City bench than play for sunderland. Having said that sessegnon, mcclean and AJ will be a handful.

and you look like a WUM

Bit harsh. Everyone's entitled to an opinion. Isn't that what forums are about. Don't think i'm in the singular on this issue but perhaps you'll enlighten me.

Yeah mate I was was him and shay and we went out from about 6pm all sober. Now my best mate is Irish and was with us but even he can't understand shay when he's had a drink.

No he'd had a good 4 months. He couldn't get in the boro side ahead of downing before downing was sold. He had a good 4 months in the championship.

Yep but we only sell reserves these days (for profit too, imagine that likkle ciddy making a profit on a player we bought).

WTF are you on about. Even if we get Sinclair he'll be a sub.
