This is exactly what I'm thinking. It's actually ridiculous that he's being labelled as a vile and disgusting human being about something that is morally ambigious and differs between different countries. People have been conditioned under the pretense that the law is a guide to moral and legal excellence when it clearly isn't.

Are you serious right now? So because there are no laws in certain counties against necrophelia or beastiality we should all start shagging corpses and animals? I also always give the side eye to adults that defend sex with children or attempt to rationalise it, it is not even up for debate so clearly there must be a personal interest?

Whether you are caught doing 33mph or 77mph in a 30mph speed zone, by law you're still committing the same offence.
Yes you are typically punished more if caught speeding faster but for me someone doing 33mph in a 30mph zone and then caught is just an idiot, not a severe speeder.

Same applies with this whole paedophile issue.

Driving at 77mph makes you a dangerous person on the road, driving at 33mph makes you rather careless. Except that he would probably be an evil criminal there too, those lower ages of consent tend to have legal strings attached and grooming would definitely be one of them - a 13 year old child in Germany would still be a minor in general legal terms if not in sexual terms.

Germany is 14 but do say the following; it is illegal to engage in sexual activity with a person under 18 "by taking advantage of an exploitative situation". This is exactly what Johnson did.

That's the issue though, can we objectively call her a child and can we say that she wasn't mentally or physically ready for it? We stick in a random age (16) as when is lawful to have sex but clearly girls are ready at different ages. Is it wrong to have sex with a mentally and physically ready 15 year-old compared to a 16 year old who clearly isn't ready? Our legal system says one thing but that is clearly up for debate.

She is still a child and therefore easily influenced by an adult,i know as i was young once.In this case a rich well known footballer who knows she is there for the taking and has groomed her by his own admittance

You're correct, i do see a difference between raping a 5 year old and what Adam Johnson has done.
Im not defending anybody, he as broken the law and should be punished accordingly

I couldn't give a shit about Johnson, certainly not once he left us. But I do give a shit about my club being overtly linked with him over these admitted and alleged offences when we had no connection with him at the time they were allegedly committed.

Just watched SSN. He was first story on. No coverage of him playing football, just a brief summing up of the offences he's pleaded guilty and not guilty to. They did mention that he plays for Sunderland following his transfer from Manchester City in 2012.

That isn't morally ambigious though, is it? That's what I'm saying. By the fact that no countries or socieities legalise beastiality or necrophelia is clear indication that there is something unarguably wrong with those acts. The fact that the age of having sex differs all over the world including in our continient means it is clearly up for debate that you it isn't.
