When does the EU ever do what we want, so naive.I'm looking at it from the opposite angle - if they're going to standardise age of consent laws across the EU then for me the other countries should raise theirs so that they're in line with ours.

If he wanted sex with 15 year olds he should have gone abroad to ply his trade. There are plenty of countries where the age of consent is 15 or lower.

Irrelevant if it's legal abroad, it's illegal in this country. He knew her age and carried it on. He broke the law so if he has to do time or go on the sex offenders list so be it.

Any extenuating circumstances... ie did he commit the crimes knowingly or was he duped and flattered... not that that is an excuse, but it could be the reason and needs to be known.
How can he have been duped if he's pleaded guilty to grooming the same girl!!

He's pleaded guilty to both sexual activity and grooming.
Therefore he is guilty - and the fact that it's also grooming means he knew what he was doing.
