What a breath of fresh air this lad is. On and off the pitch, you have to say that his attitude seems spot on. Older heads can learn something off this kid about the way to knuckle down and work to earn a starting place in god's own team.

The best thing about Adam Johnson is that he's going to be 23 for the start of this season, yet he still won't have reached his peak. He is electrifiying; we need to keep hold of him.

Seems to have settled really well, and has been a lot better than i thought he would have been. As someone else has mentioned, he still isn't at his peak, and with the standard of players around, he will become better with every season.

To be fair they might well like the look of him but he will know he owes us for how we have accelerated his career by about 4yrs in the space of 6 months and that he will be playing champions league football by september next year

I hope others in this new generation can set examples like this and not follow in the footsteps as such wankers as Lampard, Terry, Shrek (though he is very young still, just has been around forever), and certain others. Would be great to have a national team full of level headed youngsters who give 100% for their country.
