way.

Had fook all to do with the game, Pee Dub!

Yes, John there is a Peter Jackson involvement film of "Halo Wars" coming in the next 2 years. I believe it's been in pre- production for at least a year. IF Jackson is directing, it may be the first one that'll be worthy of watching.

I also believe James Cameron has "Avatar" on the way(next year, I think). first pic is the 'concept art'.

He's been working on this film and game concept for at least 5 years and I still think it will fail... epically!

Doesn't count, as it's one of those 'fan films' made by particularly sad people obsessed with a fictional video game (says the man who spends his free time working on a football site ).

The whole MGS franchise was his idea of how a movie should play out, which was the reasoning behind hiring a Hollywood composer to score it in Gregson-Williams.
Games are much harder to make engrossing then movies (story-wise) as the timings between scenes can vary significantly from player to player, and newer games tend to be non-linear, etc.

If Kojima ever made a MGS film, it would have to be sealed in concrete and dumped in the Pacific Ocean, as it's awesomeness would bring about the end of society.

Mmm...

True about the 'fan based' aspect. Having looked again at the beginning credit, my eyes must have skipped over that part. So, in saying that, it's not a fantastic film(Snake looking like he's just left University!), but the Metal Gears are impressive. It's just a shame they couldn't find actors designed to play the parts, fully, instead of using rubbish voice overs! And for fook's sake hire ME as the writer if you're struggling THAT BAD!

As for Kojima? He's talked of making a film of this forever and I thought this was it(my bad!)! Still, talk is cheap and time is passing.

Still, I think this fan based film, may just kick his ass into long overdue gear!

Avatar is NOT a game its a film, a game about the film is coming out at the same time
The film itself looks outstanding, plot or no plot to watch a film made in true 3-D will be amazing
the film has been finshed for almost a year but has been delayed to give cinemas around the world enough time to install 3-D projectors
Cant wait!!!
