Hi all, don't know if you have a clue what on Earth I should do about this but here goes:

I went to use add/remove programs in XP Home a few days back and it was blank. Not a "white space" above the list, it is just completely blank. Tried all kinds of shit to no avail so I just thought screw it and removed the partition with Windows on, and re-started from scratch. All I kept separate was a few small Word documents. But alas, still no add/remove programs list. Fuck knows where it has gone but it would be nice to have it back :)

Cheers guys and gals!

Ben

After doing a bit of snooping on google i found this:

I've been doing some searching trying to find something about your problem. Everything I've found points to a registry problem. I've seen several possible fixes for this, but I"m hesitant to tell you to do it because it involves doing some registry editing, and you can make things worse if you mess that up. So, I'm going to suggest you do what I did, do a Google for "blank add/remove". You'll find quite a few hits about this problem.

Do a Google, look at some of the answers, and see if you want to get involved in registry editing.

I'm just not confident enough to tell you to do this. Maybe someone else can join in that knows more than I do.

Hope this helps.

And someone else said try disabling your antivirus.

So good luck lol

You've either been hacked or the software you're using is not compatible with XP.

Or you're just rubbish :-D

Cheers guys I'll have a look. And Office 2000 should be compatible and that isn't on there lol! Probably is due to the fact I'm rubbish, doing an IT repair course at college as well :S
