Ade- Great Attitude

i fail to understand how some people can say poor or shit first touch is becouse the lack of confidence and games time.

mancini or platini dont have got games from dont know how many years but i'm sure if you pick them they show a million times better first touch than adebayor.

I genuinely think even the simplest tasks can become quite tricky when a player is lacking confidence. We have seen glimpses of what Adebayor can do (particularly against Arsenal last season) and whilst I understand that it is frustrating to see such a gifted player perform so inconsistently, I am surprised more people don't want to try to encourage him in the hope that we might get some of that incredible ability out of him. I genuinely believe he is a world beater on his day, we can either try to get that out of him or give him constant shit and sell him at a massive loss in January.

I think the latter is the City way mate.

Only ever happens with right backs and centre forwards, too, oddly.

What are the odds on the same happening to Balotelli if he doesn't prove to be super human in his first twenty matches?

for play in a side wich use passing game you dont need to be super human. look at barca , no super human there. but a lot of players able to control a ball , look for a mate and pass to him. withouth a good first touch you can't play in that sides.

Fits the bill. Black. Centre Forward. Young. I hope he runs round like a blue arsed fly or you could well be right.

Boateng better be as good as he looks as well or he could be in the frame.

If the most some expect from a £25m striker is to run and show a seeming interest, they are being shortchanged as fans.

Ade has clearly 'gone' in terms of his mental approach towards us.

He does not have the neccessary talents to thrive in this new set-up.

He is being sold in January, and he knows it.

How many performances are you basing the "clearly gone" opinion on? You may well be right and frankly, I reckon he will go whatever the situation because I don't reckon Mancini fancies him. But he has the ability and is here until January whether people like it or not. Balotelli is out for most of that time and if anything happens to Tevez or Mancini wants to rest Tevez then Ade is currently our best alternative. People can give him grief all they want but it isn't going to help our cause one bit.

I though he at least tried last night, i mean i have seen him and he looked like he was no more interested than George Michael is into Playboy, he did try i will say that for him, but the amount of times the ball kept coming back of him, due to lack of control, awareness of the space around him was not even funny, i know he needs more game time but to be honest he needs to buck his ideas up, ask you're selves this, would you pick him to play? 25 Million or not?

Not unless he can improve 100%

Would I pick him ahead of Tevez? Obviously not. Would I pick him ahead of Jo? Absolutely. I don't think Jo even has the potential to do the job in a "top 4" side. Adebayor does if we play to his strengths when he is picked and if he is managed correctly by the staff and treated properly by the fans. Just my opinion, obviously.

I thought Ade was quite poor last night, but thats hopefully due to lack of action this season, he is not lazy and he is not shit.

when his confidence is back he will score plenty of goals and make a few people eat some humble pie.
