Manchester City have reportedly offered striker Emmanuel Adebayor to Real Madrid in their bid to ease up their huge wage bill.

The former Togo captain has endured a torrid time under manager Roberto Mancini and has expressed desire to leave in search of regular first team action.

Marca (a Spanish Sports paper) says City have told Real they can take Adebayor on-loan to the end of the season with the option of a permanent deal in June.

Real coach Jose Mourinho has in the past affirmed the need to acquire a striker even prior to the injury of Gonzalo Higuian who would be out for about six months due to back surgery.

Adebayor has now emerged as the best option offered to Real to solve Mourinho’s attacking concerns.

At the moment Adebayor is a pain the arse.

For us a loan move is not the answer. We need a clean break. We need to bring in some younger players as and when the likes of RSC, EA and Jo depart the club.

If a clean break is not available though we take this. Sell him in June when selling is easier. The important thing for right now is to get him and his wages out of Man City.

Am I over simplifying things, but are we not best loaning the players we want rid of now...with a view to selling them in the summer, in order to help show substantial "income" in time for the FFPRs?

I think this is quite possibly the route we are going.

How about a swap loan deal with Kaka coming our way?

HAHAAHA! I'm sure they'd be up for that.

Whats there too laugh about? Kaka doesnt fit there plans any more, they have Ozil, Ronaldo and Di maria that play behind the strikers, i reckon that they would be very pleased if they could make that deal.

Deadwood now I'm afraid, and if reports are to be believed tonight, some members of the squad don't like him, better to move him on.
