He can't be training with Spurs, he's not training with us... how come we bend over backwards again to pay him £170k a week for his extended holidays?

Whoever is in charge of this deal from our end needs a good bollocking. Get him down to Platt Lane for the next ten days doing an eight hour shift with the kids. Make it unpleasant for him to remain, let him know what the next two years will feel like!

You cant deny he was extremely unlucky last season that 4th place was not enough to get CL football and corruption probably denied him 3rd place.

It's a bit harsh to jusge a CEO/Chairman on the strength of one transfer deal.

Look at his acheievements Spurs over the past 5-6 years... outstanding.

Less money thn Liverpool and have eclipsed them. Less money than City and topped them only two years ago.

Less money than Chelsea and topped them last season.

While he might be following the Arsenal business model of "doing just enough", it's a far cry from the days when Spurs were a slap-bang middle of the table club of just a few years earlier. If we hadn't have won the lottery, we would all be on here begging for a CEO of that quality.

With Ac Milan and Juventus desperate for a big forward, if we are going to give him away why not give him away to a club out of the league ?

I just dont get it. The deals rumoured for this player make us a laughing stock.

The beggars of europe are always on the look out for good players for no money send him over there I say or he can play in the reserves side.

Just on Defoe, lets put the cards on the table he is a bit shit these days. He did nothing last season and very little the season before. Hes also injury prone and getting on a bit. They are also just about the loose Modric, their best player by far who made most of their assists. They wont be able to replace with anything like equal quality.

I just wouldnt deal with Spurs anymore. If he wants a free he can have a free out of the premier league.

We didn't win the lottery... We had the best potential for growth and the best infrastructure already in place.
