They are also paying out over £100,000 a week of Emmanuel Adebayor's salary, leaving City paying less than £50,000 and retaining his image rights.
Tottenham’s emergence as title contenders has been influenced by the loan signing of Emmanuel Adebayor from City, with Spurs paying in excess of £100,000 a week of his £160,000 weekly wage at the Etihad Stadium.

To put that in some kind of context, Joey Barton is on £80,000 a week at Queens Park Rangers.

He's been shit for them. I don't understand why this isn't obvious to everyone
So where does that put him in the goalscorers list? You'd expect a Spurs centre-forward to be right at the top as you create so many chances.THFC6061 said:Pam said:City Raider said:heard a spurs fan on radio the other day saying ade, after great start, now looking disinterested and only seems up for big games - sound familiar?

9 goals and 7 assists in Adebayor's 18 Premier League games played so far this season is hardly "shit".
In fact, I'd say it was rather spiffing!

The one obvious area where Spurs can improve is the centre-forward position - although it's next to impossible to do it in January.
